Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
Presented Friday, July 29, 2016

Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) are coming to cable networks from the data center environment with the promise of offering cable operators the ability to create new services and simplify many day-to-day network operations.

In this webinar, we explained the concept of virtualization, how it applies to network functions, and examined how SDN can simplify control of these new dynamic networks. Also, we looked at how these new technologies apply to cable networks and the benefits they will bring to our industry.
